Chorlton in Manchester, where I’m from, and Highgate in North London, where I rent. Chorlton is cool and friendly; Highgate is a bit more old school.
Last play you saw?
Everyman at the National Theatre. Chiwetel Ejiofor (above) was amazing, but I left feeling like I’d just walked out of a nightmare, with the chant ‘Happy f***ing birthday’ going round in my head.
Most romantic thing someone’s done for you?
Ran a bath with scented candles, oils and rose petals for me to come home to after work.
First thing you do when you arrive back in London?
Go for a stomp on Hampstead Heath. My roof has the only better view of London.
What would you do as Mayor?
Make it legal for bikes to cycle both ways down one-way streets.
Who do you call when you want to have fun?
My school friends who now live in London, or Ruta Gedmintas from The Borgias.
Building you’d like to be locked in overnight?
Kensington Palace, just to be nosy. The family would have to be in — that’s the whole point.
Last album you downloaded?
Sylvan Esso. I listened to them so much on SoundCloud I had to buy the album.
Best meal you’ve had?
Fabrizio in EC1, where meals are like eating an Italian mamma’s cooking. I love the aubergine parmigiana, which they make specially for us.
Spa weekends with my boyfriend Harry Treadaway.
Ever had a run-in with a policeman?
I got chased by a policeman in Manchester for giving someone a ‘backie’ on my bike. He couldn’t keep up with the bike on foot, so I made my escape.
The Boogaloo in Highgate. I’ve never been there and not danced my socks off all night.
Best piece of advice you’ve been given?
‘Just be yourself,’ from my Nana.
Which shops do you rely on?
Kiehl’s, for body moisturisers and sun creams; Le Labo, for scented candles (above); Tesco, which I always end up in after setting out for local independent shops.
Building you’d like to buy?
The whole of Holly Village, near Hampstead Heath. There are beautiful little Gothic cottages (below) with turrets and gargoyles, and I’d move all my mates in.
Where do you go to let your hair down?
Madame JoJo’s used to be my favourite. If it ever reopens, I’ll be knocking on the door.
Earliest London memory?
Getting the worst food poisoning from a plate of mussels at a Soho restaurant when I was ten.
Best place for a first date?
London Fields’ meadow on a sunny day followed by bar-hopping in Broadway Market.
The renovated WC bars that seem to be dotted around the city.
Best place for a nightcap?
I walk round Soho trying out everywhere that isn’t The Groucho. Then that’s where I end up.
At the moment you are…
Hopping between Manchester and London.
Who’s your hero?
My mum. She made me!
What do you collect?
Stones in the shape of hearts. It’s my boyfriend who collects them and me who keeps them.
